Expresiones: Dar con queso

“Dar con queso” (Lit: Give with cheese) to someone is an expression with a lot of tradition in Spanish to express the art of cheating or scamming during a purchase or decision confusing the buyer or distorting reality. It often appears as a warning in a negative imperative: “Que no te la den con queso” to warn of the possibility of cheating or fraud.

Although it is a very old expression, it continues to be used, since the techniques of selling and manipulating masses, however much they have advanced, continue to maintain the same principles of confusion and distortion to prevent us from differentiating the good from the bad.
